Well as i had mentioned a little before on my previous posts, people are trying to build some nice backlinks to their sites to be able to get high pagerank values and thus they will get good search engine positioning for their own keywords.
But there is a big mistake here. As every single SEO guru said, “Content is the King”. Pagerank is nowadays good to index your content quickly to Google or even good to sell the domains/sites for nice $ figures. But unique content is always the number one factor for getting the highest positions at search results.
Few years ago it was impossible for a PR0 web site to be placed higher on a keyword than a PR5 or PR6 web site but Google is valueing content more and more each day.
So high pagerank value will still (surely) help you increase your SEO, but a site with low PR value can easily beat your site if it has some really fresh and unique content on it.
Most of the PR hunters are now doing backlinking to get high PR for their domains and then they will try to market their high pagerank site on several marketplaces, forums and make some moneu online!
Which one are you aiming at? Highest pagerank or highest positioning at search engine results for your keyword?

I have few questions here about ‘CONTENT’
1) Does your site have to have a fresh content to get good ranking?
2) How often should you change your content?
3) Should you change the content from index page only or from all pages?
Regards,
Hami
Hi Hami,
1) Yes definately!
2) You should add new content at least 3-4 times a week. Too much new content will also make google put a red flag on your site.
3) You should add new pages with new content and link them within your web site. Changing current page’s content too frequently is also dangerous.
