I was just updating my phone number in AdSense, and after punching in the new one, there has been no notice of a need to verify it.

This is the first time I’ve changed my phone number. Do publishers only need to verify their original number, or is there supposed to be a verification for each change? I’d rather not find out later on that I have an invisible hold on my payments.
